Blackrock cable is true to the voicing priorities of Evidence Audio in a form factor which allows you to get great sound in small spaces. Strand interaction is mitigated with the same IGL-ECS conductor used in the Reveal and Forte cables. Blackrock can be soldered to a variety plugs.

Blackrock extends the IGL-ECS range of cables from Evidence Audio in a compact form factor. At 0.155 inches in diameter, Blackrock is the same size as Monorail, however uses an enamel coating over the strands instead of a single solid-core conductor to eliminate the negative effects of strand interaction.

It’s the perfect cable where sound is the top priority in tight spaces such as a pedal board or rack, but absolute flexibility is a mandate as well.

  • Tiny cable, huge sound:  Goes where others refuse to travel and brings it on home.
  • Super Compact:  Fits in small spaces few other cables can travel; even inside components for internal wiring.

Blackrock is a smaller installation cable, designed for when space is at a premium such as with pedalboards, racks and studio installations.

Blackrock can be considered a “mini-Reveal”.  It could also be considered a “flexible” version of Monorail.  It is the same size as Monorail, however it uses the flexible and stranded IGL-ECS conductor that is used in Reveal and Forte.

Much as the Reveal is a flexible version of Melody, and Forte is a flexible version of Lyric, Blackrock is an amazing-sounding cable that has physical properties unlike anything else EA offer.  It is a small, flexible cable that has the “Evidence Audio” sound which can be used with any soldered plugs.

Where many might be using a small cable such as Mogami’s W2314 or Canare’s GS-4, Blackrock is an alternative with equal size and flexibility, but much better audio quality.
